Britny Horton, a dynamic performer and advocate for diversity in the arts, graduated from Spelman College and honed her craft at the prestigious British American Drama Academy. With a passion for both stage and screen, Britny has made her mark in a variety of theatrical, film, and television productions across the country.

 

Her recent credits include notable roles in popular series such as Bel-Air (Peacock), Genius: MLK/X (Disney+), and Little America (AppleTv), as well as guest appearances on The Resident (Fox). Britny's talent shines not only in front of the camera but also on stage, where she has delivered memorable performances in productions like Hit the Wall and Sweat at the University of Iowa, Men on Boats at Riverside Theatre, and Too Heavy for Your Pocket at Pyramid Theatre.

 

In addition to her accomplishments as an actress, Britny has made significant contributions behind the scenes. With five years of experience as a Casting Associate and Casting Director, she possesses a deep understanding of the industry's inner workings. In 2020, Britny embarked on a new journey as a producer, launching her production company, Geraldine's Pictures (formerly Curvy Confidence). Through her company, she is dedicated to producing films that challenge societal norms and promote body positivity, particularly within the black community.

 

Driven by her mission to empower black women and challenge conventional beauty standards, Britny uses her art as a platform for social change. Her commitment to authenticity and representation has earned her acclaim both on and off the stage.
